Thanks Rahina, ain't easy paintin' on a boat!
Hi Willy! Yeah.. would be great to go out east.. prob impossible to make a bad painting out there! Hope all's well for ya in P.E.I.(?) Don't kiss any cod, and stay away from elixir called "Screech" LOL.
Thanks for stoppin' in Anita!
Hi Michael,Haven't seen your stuff in a while (I'm not on wetcanvas much anymore). Great to catch up on your paintings. Great work!
the drawing perspective strokes in the water are great! And what you left out gives so much more depth than putting more detail in...
I really like how you simplified the trees furthest back -
Beautiful painting Michael! Love the way you manipulated the edges.
tht's BEAUTIFUL:glad to have found your blog
Thanks much for the comments Lisa, Bill, Tim, Jen and Abhishek! Taking a bit of a break now.. but more paintings to come.
Nice plein-air paintings, full light, colours and good brush strokes.
MikeLong time no post! How are you?
Love that water.
That sketch is better than most paintings I've seen around.
Great painting! It reminds me very much of Bocklin's Island of the Dead in terms of composition. ou captured the choppy waters beautifully and the light on the clouds is stunning. Love it!
Thanks much Liz and Caroline. Caroline, not sure who Brocklin is.. but sounds interesting I'll look him up!
