copies

A copy of a Kevin McPherson landscape and a copy of a Calvin Liang marine painting. Trying to learn their shorthand.

still a bit of your style ther Michael,those white reflections are as yummie as butter on toast

i used to copy Monet and Rembrandt
all i learned was how to copy a Monet and Rembrandt,hehe

Bill, I used to think copies were useless to do as an excercise. The way I try to do them now is to not make the copy exact, but look at it for broader things like value,colour,comp, and then try to think the painting on my own.
