Cherry Beach

Here's a couple of sketches from Cherry Beach from the last two weeks. Both 8x10 oil.  Both about 2 hrs.

This was some sort of beach hut. Didn't get to the bells and whistles, but this caught something of it.

This is a painting of a somewhat derelict boat moored near the shore. (Mental note to self.. check wind direction beforehand next time when painting anchored subjects!).  We ran into the new owner of this boat while finishing up painting. He said someone had just given him the boat for free (yeah, it was in pretty rough shape).

Interesting structure of the chimney on the hut...plus delicious tone and edges!
