Nice PA man. You always get a good sense of air in these. Can't believe we've never plein aire'd together yet. And yeah, I totally missed on that Wendy painting. Got a little closer last week, but messed up on the construction. Maybe the two will come together tomorrow.

Very nice, non fussy, direct painting. Your latest posts are making me cold...glad I'm a California boy. Found you off of Wray's blog. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Marco, yeah we'll have to hit the PA trail maybe when the weather gets a little warmer. I wasn't saying your painting of Wendy wasn't nice, it was just flattering was my point :P

Hi David, Thanks for stopping by! Yeah I'd have to say I'm a sucker for direct painting.. so thanks :) I'm guessing you don't see many cold days like this in Kaleeefornia. Doesn't Bill Wray rock?

I like the overcast day here. Soft light and looks chilly. Makes me want a cup of coffee.

Beautiful work. Somehow the color of earth the the drawing really convey the solidity of that building. I feel it, man. :-)

Chris, I'll take that as a huge compliment if it conveys that image! It was a very crisp day.. hot coffee was in order!

Many thanks Ed, I'm making a concerted effort these days to make the forms read better.

Mike!

Great stuff! I've always admired your talent...some day I would like to own one of your paintings.

Perhaps I could get as good a deal as you did on a certain amplifier?

Lol!

I'm in PEI!!!

Keep painting...very inspiring Mike, to say the least.

solid and moody, you manage to make it feel so real without it looking real, does that make sense?

I really like your work!

There's a lot packed in to this painting. Very solid and I love all the colors in the building.

Hey Wills, Thank for stopping by mate. What the hell are you doing out in PEI?(growing taters?). How's this for a deal, I send you one of my crazy paintings, and you send me one of your smack drawings.. (damn they're funny!).

Michael Pieczonka said...

Thanks Rob.. I 'll take that as a compliment! Glad to hear it's moody too (I know am lol).

Michael Pieczonka said...

Thanks for stopping in Gwen, nice work on your page.

Michael Pieczonka said...

Thanks Slim... it was one of those wettish days.

Mike

It hardly seems like a fair trade. How about I send you ten drawings for a painting or something like that..seems fairer to me!!

LOL!!

Btw...I'm glad you think my drawings are funny...thanks for the compliment, but I'm not sure I do smack drawings!

Uh...do you mean they look like they might be drug induced?

Nope, just good old fashioned imagination mixed with a great deal of boredom and free time!!

I'm in Charlottetown working on a series.

You still in the biz?

I'll call you about a possible trade.
