A real treat Chief! Great color.
Wow - one of the best beach-paintings I ever saw! Cheers!
Nice piece. Fun to watch your voice develop.
You have a gift for those cool greens--all your colors, in fact. But those greens make me green with envy! :)
Some very nice colors in the building.E
What a visual delight! Great play of cool and warm colors using complimentaries....and those juicy brushstrokes..... :pIncredible!
New to your site, linked from W.Wray. Awesome color, kick ass push and pull!
Thanks Chris.. things are still gettin' more colourful around my parts for a few more weeks!
Michael, Danke Schön! I always find the colours around the water a huge challenge... underpainting this one with some tera rosa really helped make it PoP this time!
Thanks Les.. every painting is something learned I guess : )
Kathryn, Thank you! The gift you speak of is really only two colours! Viridian and tera rosa with white and maybe the slighest touch of lemon yellow will give some startlingly real cool greens. Great combos for so many urban things!
Thanks Elio!!Thanks Stephen! Bill is a fantastic painter.. I've learned a ton perusing his blog.
Jennifer, Thanks so much. I'm really trying to milk the underpainting for all it's worth LOL. I just discovered you can use C Red for the underpainting too. Who'da thought! It makes seeing the compliments real easy (maybe too easy?)
Mike!!I know this place well.Nicely done.
