Michael... are you painting these outside?

I'ts been bloody cold here and I can almost feel it in this one. I like the clouds a lot and the intense sky.

Cheers.... Andrew

Hi Andrew. Yes.. I painted this one from a parked car.. (but it was off and windows open a crack :D ) I think it was like -8 out?.. but it's not as bad as it sounds.. I think I was only there for 2 hr.. and then boogied on home! Glad to hear it caught some of the cold in it!

Thanks, Mike

Very nice colors and good brushwork. Painting in the cold is very brave. Respect! Like Andrew said, one can almost feel the cold.

This painting leaves me cold...in a good way. Love that cast shadow from the tower. Excellent work!

Thanks Chris. I was really trying to keep that cast shadow.. it moved quite a bit and I tried not to chase it.

Michael, the colors have a deliciously 'pearlescent' effect. I like the way you kept from blending too much, giving your colors a fresh and luminous feel.
I like the bold brushstrokes too.
I'm with Andrew and Stefan; you definitely captured the brisk and snappy quintessence of a clear winter day.
